The Titans and the Chiefs moved the ball well on offense in the first quarter, but both sides had trouble converting on third down as Jake Locker took a big sack from Allen Bailey, while Alex Smith was downed by Wesley Woodyard.

The home side finally broke the deadlock as Smith engineered a drive downfield, but his side were kept out of the endzone, which resulted in a field goal from Cairo Santos from 35 yards.

However, the visitors hit straight back and took the lead when Locker produced an excellent series downfield and ended with a touchdown pass to tight end Delanie Walker, who did well to touch his feet down inbounds.

Smith threw an interception late in the half and that allowed the Titans to extend their lead going into the break as former Chief Ryan Succop fired a 36-yard field goal between the posts.

In the third quarter, the Titans went further ahead as Locker moved them down the field with ease once again, and this time he found wide receiver Kendall Wright in the flat for a touchdown.

Tennessee added to their lead when Locker again had his side on a good drive, but this time the Chiefs held firm in the redzone and Succop kicked a 31-yard field goal.

The Chiefs pulled a touchdown back with a score to tight end Anthony Fasano who reached over the line for a five-yard strike after collecting a pass from Smith.

However, the comeback was to end there as the Titans managed to get a grip on the game and secure a 16-point win, with Succop kicking another field goal in the fourth quarter.
