Mike Tomlin: 'There will be no more somersault celebrations'

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin bans his players from somersaulting into the endzone in celebration in the future to avoid injuries.

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has banned his players from somersaulting in celebration when they score touchdowns.

When receiver Emmanuel Sanders scored his 55-yard touchdown against the New York Jets he somersaulted into the endzone, which Tomlin feels could have caused him serious injury had he landed incorrectly.

"There will be no more somersault-into-the-end-zone celebrations," Tomlin told Steelers Digest. "There is the potential for injury. That simple."

The Steelers won their first game of the season by beating the Jets on Sunday.
