Oakland Raiders overcome San Diego Chargers

The Oakland Radiers secure their second win of the NFL season by beating the San Diego Chargers 27-17 at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

The Oakland Raiders have secured their second win of the NFL season by beating the San Diego Chargers 27-10 at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum.

Terrelle Pryor threw for 141 yards and two touchdowns in the first half in California, as Oakland opened up a 17-0 lead.

Rod Streater and Denarius Moore were the beneficiaries of Pryor's accurate arm.

Streater scored his fourth career touchdown and Moore registered his second, before Sebastian Janikowski added a 47-yard field goal.

After being shut out for the first time this season, the Chargers finally got on the scoreboard with a 35-yard field goal with five minutes of the third quarter remaining.

The Raiders hit back quickly as Charles Woodson tied an NFL record for most defensive touchdowns when he scored his 13th after capitalising on a fumble by Danny Woodhead.

Woodhead bounced back from his error to score his 11th career touchdown at the start of the final quarter.

A comeback was on the cards with 10 minutes remaining, as Keenan Allen touched down after collecting Philip Rivers's pass.

However, Janikowski then calmed the hosts' nerves by nailing a 50-yard field goal, which gave his side a 10-point victory margin.
