Rex Ryan says that he only wants to coach the New York Jets.

Rex Ryan has denied reports that he does not want to continue as head coach of the New York Jets unless there are changes to the coaching staff.

The New York Daily News said that Ryan would step down at the end of the season unless new coaches for the offensive line are brought in.

Ryan told reporters: "This is the only team that I want to coach. Period. Anybody that knows me knows that I'm telling you the truth.

"I'm proud to be a Jet. Sometimes I'm proud to be a Jet more than others. This season has been a rough one. But this is my team. I want to be the Jets' head coach for the next 15 years. This is the job I've always wanted, and that's it.

"I was disappointed and mad as a hornet [at the report]. I spoke to the reporter, and he elected not to put my response in."

The Jets have had a mixed season, winning six and losing nine games ahead of their last game of the year against the Buffalo Bills tomorrow.
