Roger Goodell: 'NFL will cooperate fully with judge Richard Berman'

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says that the league will cooperate fully with judge Richard Berman in Tom Brady's court case against his four-game suspension.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has insisted that the league will cooperate with the wishes of judge Richard Berman in the court case of Tom Brady's dispute against his four-game suspension.

Berman issued a statement to the NFL and the NFL Players Association urging them to engage in settlement talks to resolve the matter out of court ahead of their meeting on Wednesday.

Last week, Goodell suggested that he had no intention of lifting Brady's ban, but has insisted that he will abide by the advice of Berman to negotiate with the NFLPA.

"We had [settlement] discussions prior to this," Goodell told reporters. "We got the letter today, we certainly will cooperate fully with that.

"And we will allow the judge to handle the process from there."

Berman is scheduled to meet with the two parties on Wednesday and again on August 19 if no settlement has been agreed.
