Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts has reacted angrily to questions over the record points spread being offered for his side's match against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

The Jaguars will go into the NFL match as 28-point underdogs with many bookmakers, a record-equalling NFL points spread due to the Broncos' fine form and the Jaguars' winless start to the season.

"I don't care about a point spread. That has nothing to do with the outcome of the game. That don't mean nothing to me. I don't want to hear about it," Shorts told reporters.

"What's it have to do with football? What does whatever the spread is have to do with the outcome of the game?

"It doesn't have shit to do with me at all, so I don't want to hear about it. No more questions about the point spread, please. That's dumb."

The Jaguars have lost all five of their matches so far this season by an average of 18.2 points, while the Broncos are totalling almost 50 points a game and have won their last 16 regular season matches.
