Tony Romo: 'We have to keep DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant'

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo insists that his side need to do their utmost to keep DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant at the club beyond the end of the season.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is adamant that he wants running back DeMarco Murray and wide receiver Dez Bryant to remain at the club in the off-season.

Murray had an outstanding season for the Cowboys as he led the NFL in rushing yards, while Bryant also enjoyed a dominant year at the receiver position, catching 16 touchdowns.

Both players are out of contract when the league year officially ends, but Romo feels that his team have to do their utmost to keep them in Dallas.

"I think everybody understands how great these guys are and how lucky we are to have them," Romo told KESN-FM.

"Any time you get talented guys where you can put more than two on one side of the ball, you get three, four, if you're lucky enough to ever get five, it's one of those things where if you can put a group like that together you can make a run and be very difficult for teams to deal with for years.

"I think that's what you're trying to build ultimately is to have sustained success. We have an opportunity to have that."

The Cowboys reached the playoffs for the first time in five years in the 2014 campaign, before they were knocked out in the divisional round by the Green Bay Packers.
