Report: Trent Richardson injury not serious

Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson's shin injury is reportedly not as serious as first thought.

Trent Richardson has reportedly avoided a serious shin injury, despite suggestions that the running back would miss the Cleveland Browns' training camp.

The 21-year-old has an injury similar to shin splints which is preventing him from taking part in the Browns' organised team activities.

NFL.com reports that the running back is being kept off the practice field as a precaution, but should be healthy for Cleveland's training camp next month.

Richardson finished his first season in the NFL with 950 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
