Roberto Garza agrees Chicago Bears extension

Chicago Bears center Roberto Garza signs a new one-year contract with the NFC North side.

Roberto Garza has agreed a new one-year contract with the Chicago Bears, keeping him with the team for the 2014 NFL season.

The center has been with the NFC North side for nine years, and has started 164 games in his 13 seasons in the league.

The 34-year-old told the team's website: "I'm excited to keep playing and playing for a great franchise and a great city. Everybody knows that I wanted to stay here.

"With the guys that I'm playing with, everything is coming together. I feel it's a great opportunity to build on what we started last year."

Garza started his career with the Atlanta Falcons before moving to the Bears in 2005.
