Former Oakland Raiders linebacker Rolando McClain announces that he has retired from the NFL.

Linebacker Rolando McClain has revealed that his career in the NFL is over.

The 24-year-old was due to work out with the Baltimore Ravens as part of their off-season programme, but the former Oakland Raiders man has decided to call it a day.

"I'm done. If football made me complete I would play," McClain told ESPN. "But whenever I think of it my heart pulls me away from whatever reason."

McClain originally retired last year, but was trying to make a comeback after spending time out of the game.
