Belarus's Vasilisa Marzaliuk clinches gold in women's 75kg freestyle wrestling

Belarus's Vasilisa Marzaliuk has claimed the gold medal in the women's 75kg freestyle wrestling at the European Games in Baku.

Marzaliuk reached the final after defeating Spain's Maider Unda in the semi-finals of the competition, leaving her to face off against Ekaterina Bukina of the Russian Federation.

Marzaliuk secured the gold medal as she claimed a 3-1 points victory over the 28-year-old, as the Russian was forced to settle for silver.

Spain's Unda and the Republic of Moldova's Svetlana Saenko won the bronze medals in the event.

The gold medal is Belarus's fifth of the Games.
