Terdiman hopes for godfather's help

Jayson Terdiman believes that he will have the blessings of his godfather Steve Kelsey during the Winter Olympics.

Kelsey passed away in November last year at the age of 56, and the Team USA athlete feels that he will be there to help him in Sochi.

"My sport is extremely mental and keeping my mind on what I'm doing is a huge priority for me," the Altoona Mirror quotes Terdiman as saying.

"I don't carry anything extra with me that may help my imagination to wander, but I know that he will be with me on the sled. And hopefully he can give us a little extra push for a little more speed."

Terdiman will be competing in the luge event for the American team at the Sochi Games.
