Vonn slams "dangerous" conditions at World Cup

United States skier Lindsey Vonn described weather conditions at the women's World Cup event in Bansko, Bulgaria as a "joke".

Two days of racing were cancelled due to fog, while Sunday's action was delayed because of poor visibility.

Vonn finished 24th in the super-G race, but refused to ski in the slalom part of the super-combined due to the conditions.

"It's a joke, this snow is way too dangerous to ski," BBC Sport quotes Vonn as saying.

The 30-year-old former Olympic champion only recently returned to competitive action following two knee injuries.
