Great Britain's Craig Pickering has revealed that he was pleased to see John Baines called up to replace him in the two-man bobsleigh event in the Winter Olympics.
Pickering was forced to withdraw from the Games after sustaining a back injury, and as a result Baines was selected to take his place alongside Lamin Deen in the competition later this week.
He wrote on Twitter: "Really happy to see that John Baines is replacing me in the 2-man. He's an excellent pusher and I can't wait to see what he can do!"
The 27-year-old admitted earlier this week that he was considering his future in the sport.
