Murdoch: It's "tremendous" to reach semi-finals

Great Britain curling skip David Murdoch has described reaching the semi-finals at the Winter Olympics as "tremendous".

The British men needed a playoff against Norway to seal their place in the last four, clinching the win with the final stone of the match.

The 35-year-old told BBC Sport: "It's just tremendous, it's great to get into the semi-finals.

"We've had fantastic support through the week and that game was absolutely incredible. We weighed up our chances and we guessed we had a chance to win the game; we're not scared of playing shots like that because it was a chance of getting into the semi-finals.

"We've got a good record against [semi-final opponents] Sweden and they've been in great form by winning most of their games, but you can see now we're really coming into our game."

The semi-finals take place tomorrow.
