Eve Muirhead: "It was a high-quality game"

Great Britain women's curling skip Eve Muirhead hails Canada captain Jennifer Jones for her performance in her side's win over Team GB.

Great Britain women's curling skip Eve Muirhead has hailed her opposite number Canada's Jennifer Jones for her performance in her side's victory over Team GB.

Muirhead's team slipped to their second defeat of the tournament as Canada edged out Team GB in a tight contest in Sochi, with the game going down to the final shot.

She told BBC Sport: "It was a high-quality game, and Jennifer played fantastic. She put in a lot of great shots; she put a great tap in the ninth end against two of ours to score one.

"Jennifer played a great shot for three in the fifth end and that kind of puts you on the back foot. When you go three down against a high-quality hitting team like Canada you are always going to be chasing the whole game."

Team GB play their fourth match of the Games later today against China.
