Eleven-year-old Will Gilmore tipped to become 'future GB Olympian'

Eleven-year-old Will Gilmore has been backed by his coach to become a "future Olympian" for Great Britain.

The young snowboarder won the 12-and-under British Indoor Freestyle competition this year and has been likened to competitors 20 years his senior.

"Will is the best 11-year-old in the UK, that is no exaggeration," the Daily Mail quotes coach Steve Addicott, who works at 'Why Ain't You Snowboarding', as saying. "I know professional snowboarders at the peak age of 22 who can't do what Will is doing now at 11.

"His body naturally has the perfect extension for snowboarding. He is definitely a future Olympian for Team GB."

The youngster finished third in all categories in the British Indoor Freestyle competition.
