Duncan Gibb named Team GB flagbearer at EYOF opening ceremony

Junior British cross country ski champion Duncan Gibb is chosen to carry the flag for Great Britain at tonight's EYOF opening ceremony.

Duncan Gibb will carry the flag for Great Britain at tonight's opening ceremony for the Vorarlberg and Liechtenstein 2015 European Youth Olympic Festival.

The 17-year-old from Aberdeenshire is the junior British cross country ski champion.

"There are no words to describe how I feel, it is incredible and a huge honour to be named as the Team GB flagbearer," said Gibb.

"I am very excited to carry the flag and to represent my fellow athletes this evening."

GB will have a 15-strong team led out by Gibb this evening at the Montafon Nordic Ski Jumping Centre in the host town of Tschagguns, Austria.
