Andy Murray wary of Nicolas Almagro threat

Murray wary of Almagro threat

Andy Murray has revealed that he expects a stern challenge from Nicolas Almagro when the pair meet in the Olympic quarter-finals today.

The British fourth seed booked his place in the last eight with a narrow victory over Marcos Baghdatis, while Spanish 11th seed Almagro saw off Steve Darcis.

"Yeah, he's a tough player," Murray told reporters. "He takes a lot of risk on the court. He goes for his shots, doesn't hold back. He doesn't have loads of variation, but he can overpower you. He has a big serve, as well. That's why he's been in the top 10 for the best part of this year.

"After this week, he won't be far off still being in it. It's going to be a tough match. I'll need to play well to win."

Murray has won two of his previous three matches against Almagro, but the two have never met on grass.
