Radek Stepanek advances beyond Richard Gasquet

Veteran Radek Stepanek moved into round three of the Shanghai Masters at the expense of Richard Gasquet this afternoon.

Two breaks of serve is all that separated the 33-year-old from the Czech Republic and France's Gasquet.

Stepanek won the first set 6-4 and booked his place in the next round with the same scoreline in the second set.

He will now play America's John Isner for a place in the quarter-finals.
