Andy Murray handed tough Shanghai Masters draw

Andy Murray is handed a tough draw at the Shanghai Masters as he looks to qualify for the end-of-season ATP Tour Finals.

Andy Murray will have to come through a number of tough matches at the Shanghai Masters if he is to strengthen his bid to reach the ATP Tour Finals next month.

The British number one has moved into contention for a place at the O2 Arena in London by winning in Shenzhen before reaching the semi-finals at the China Open.

However, the draw hasn't been kind to Murray in Shanghai, with the 27-year-old potentially having to face David Ferrer in the third round providing that he can overcome a qualifier and either Edouard Roger-Vasselin or Jerzy Janowicz.

If Murray can reach the quarter-finals, Novak Djokovic is likely to be waiting for the Scot, with Roger Federer also included in the same half of the draw.
