Agnieszka Radwanska beats Venus Williams to win Rogers Cup

Agnieszka Radwanska wins the Rogers Cup after recording a straight-sets victory over Venus Williams.

Agnieszka Radwanska has recorded a 6-4 6-2 win over Venus Williams to win the Rogers Cup in Montreal.

It was a dominant performance from the Pole, who took full advantage of a weary-looking Williams to win her first tournament of the year.

Williams had stunned her younger sister Serena to make it through to the final, but she struggled to replicate that display as she quickly fell a break of serve behind to the world number three.

After Radwanska had taken the opener, she quickly took control of the second set to seal the victory in one hour 21 minutes.
