Ana Ivanovic eases into Rogers Cup second round

Ana Ivanovic has made it through to the second round of the Rogers Cup in Toronto with a comfortable straight-sets victory over Hsieh Su-Wei.

The Serbian world number 15 took the opening set 6-1 in emphatic style before closing out the match 6-2 inside 56 minutes.

Waiting for Ivanovic in the next round is Italian world number 94 Flavia Pennetta.

Ivanovic is bidding to win the tournament for a second time following her success in 2006.
