Heather Watson's poor form continues

Belgium's Yanina Wickmayer becomes the latest player to get the better of Great Britain's Heather Watson in Luxembourg.

Heather Watson's recent run of poor form continued at the Luxembourg Open today as she lost 6-0 5-7 6-2 to Yanina Wickmayer.

The Belgian started much the brighter of the two players and went on to take full advantage of numerous unforced errors from Watson to claim the opening set in just 24 minutes.

Watson responded by edging the second set, but the Brit committed more errors during the deciding third set as her 23-year-old opponent wrapped up the victory in one hour and 42 minutes.

Watson has now won just one of her last nine matches, which in turn has seen her drop out of the world's top 100.
