Venus Williams reaches final in Zhuhai

Venus Williams has booked her place in the Elite Trophy Zhuhai final with a comfortable victory over Roberta Vinci.

Heading into the match, Williams had only lost one set to the Italian in four previous meetings, and she never looked like losing a second during a routine win.

The 35-year-old broke serve three times in each set to run out a 6-2 6-2 winner against the US Open runner-up.

The American will face either Karolina Pliskova or Elina Svitolina in the final.
