Maria Sharapova has battled through to the Miami Masters quarter-finals with a three-set victory over Belgium's Kirsten Flipkens.
The Russian world number seven was beaten 3-6 in the opening set before scraping through the second 6-4 after leading 4-0.
However, it was more straightforward in the final set for the four-time Grand Slam champion as she came through 6-1 against the world number 23.
Sharapova will meet either Ana Ivanovic or Petra Kvitova in the next round.
