Serena Williams claims Miami Masters crown

Serena Williams has won a record sixth Miami Masters title with a three-set victory over Maria Sharapova.

The world number one lost the opening set 4-6 but came back to clinch the second 6-3.

The American was ruthless in the third as she broke the Russian third seed three times to close out the match 6-0.

It is Williams's second WTA title of the year following her victory at the Brisbane Open in January.
