Agnieszka Radwanska sees off Varvara Lepchenko in Madrid Open

Agnieszka Radwanska will face Victoria Azarenka in the semi-finals of the Madrid Open after snatching a 6-4 6-4 win over Varvara Lepchenko.

The competitors were fairly even in the early stages of the contest, with the pair securing their service games.

It took a Radwanska break to make the difference in Spain, which allowed the number four seed to take advantage and clinch the first set.

Lepchenko held her own in the second set and looked poised to force through a comeback after snatching Radwanska's serve, but the 23-year-old managed to break instantly to resume and equal scoreline.

While the American professional tried to put her stamp on the clash, the world number three proved to be too much for 25-year-old, and Radwanska finished off the match with ease.
