Rafael Nadal to face Kei Nishikori in Barcelona Open final

Rafael Nadal will face defending champion Kei Nishikori in the final of the Barcelona Open after seeing off Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3 6-3.

Eight-time champion Rafael Nadal advanced to the final of the Barcelona Open with a comfortable 6-3 6-3 win over Philipp Kohlschreiber this afternoon.

The Spaniard needed just an hour and a half to see off the German and set up a final against defending champion Kei Nishikori.

Nishikori, winner the last two years in Barcelona, booked his place in a third straight final earlier on Saturday with a similarly one-sided scoreline against Frenchman Benoit Paire.

Nadal is going for back-to-back tournament successes having also won in Monte Carlo last week.
