Andy Murray boosts ATP Finals chances by reaching Vienna Open semi-finals

Andy Murray boosts his chances of qualifying for the ATP World Tour Finals by beating Jan-Lennard Struff in the Vienna Open quarter-finals.

Andy Murray continues his charge toward the ATP World Tour Finals in London next month by reaching the semi-finals of the Vienna Open.

The British number one secured a 6-2 7-5 victory over Jan-Lennard Struff in the quarter-finals of the tournament to push himself into the final four.

Struff managed to save two break points in his opening service game of the first set, but Murray eventually found his feet by securing a double break before taking the lead in Austria.

Murray suffered a minor wobble by losing his serve in the second set, but the Scotsman immediately broke back to keep himself on track.

Just one more break was needed for Murray to push on and wrap up the set to reach the semi-finals.
