Juan Monaco has continued his winning form at the Miami Masters with a straight-sets victory over Mardy Fish in the quarter-finals.
The powerful world number 21 took a service break from his American opponent as he raced into a 3-0 lead, before another break saw him emphatically secure the first set 6-1.
World number eight Fish had his first service game broken in the second, but he was able to break back to level things at 3-3.
Despite achieving his first service break, Fish was then broken twice by a determined Monaco, who went on to take the set 6-3.
Monaco will face either Novak Djokovic or David Ferrer for a place in the final.
