Laura Robson wins just one game on return after 17 months out

Laura Robson loses 6-0 6-1 to Daria Gavrilova in her first tennis match in 17 months after recovering from wrist surgery.

Former British number one Laura Robson won just one game this afternoon as she made her comeback after 17 months out injured.

The 21-year-old was given a wildcard at the Eastbourne tournament and ended up drawing the top-seed Daria Gavrilova in the first round.

She lost 6-0 6-1 in less than an hour and will now only be able to play at Wimbledon if she is given a wildcard.

Two-time Grand Slam winner Andy Murray has warned Robson that she will have to overcome "mental baggage" as she makes her return.
