Kyle Edmund has recorded a straight-sets win over Alex de Minaur to progress through to the Estoril Open quarter-finals.
The British number one received a bye through to the last 16, and the 23-year-old has taken advantage of his seeding to advance further with a 6-2 7-5 victory over the Australian.
Edmund registered three breaks of the serve to take the opener in comfortable fashion and the world number 23 appeared on course for a routine win when striking in the second.
De Minaur hit back and left Edmund serving to remain in the set but after doing so, the third seed broke serve for the fifth time in the contest before sealing the win.
Edmund will now face Pedro Sousa or Joao Sousa for a place in the semi-finals.
