Anne Keothavong suffers Birmingham defeat

Britain's Anne Keothavong has lost in the first round of the Aegon Classic in Birmingham to American Alison Riske.

Keothavong moved into a 3-1 during the opening set before Riske fought back to take it 7-5.

The British number four was then broken twice in the second as Riske closed out the match 6-2.

She will now take on Austrian world 29 Tamira Paszek for a place in round three of the tournament.
