Simona Halep beats Samantha Stosur to Kremlin Cup

Simona Halep has beaten Samantha Stosur in straight sets to win the Kremlin Cup in Moscow.

Both players squandered 13 break points between them in the opening set before Halep went on to take it 7-1 in a tie-break.

The Romanian world number 18 lost her serve at the start of the second, but she fought back with three breaks of her own to close out the match 6-2.

Halep has now won five WTA titles during her career, with all of those triumphs coming in 2013.
