British number one Kyle Edmund has suffered a straight-sets defeat to Pablo Andujar in the final of the Grand Prix Hassan II.
The 23-year-old, seeking his first ATP Tour title, lost 6-2 6-2 in Marrakesh after struggling to find his rhythm.
Edmund was broken in the first game and then twice more as Andujar - ranked at 355 in the world - took complete control of the match.
Having eased his way to the first set, the Spaniard did not look back as he broke Edmund a further three times en route to a fourth career title.
Andujar, whose most recent success came in the Swiss Open in 2014, becomes the lowest-ranked ATP singles champion since Lleyton Hewitt won the Adelaide International in 1998 when 550th in the world.
