Novak Djokovic beats Rafael Nadal in Miami Masters final

Djokovic wins Miami Masters

Novak Djokovic has won his fourth Miami Masters title courtesy of a straight-sets 6-3 6-3 victory over Rafael Nadal this evening.

Nadal almost made a perfect start to the match when he forced an early break point in the very first game, but Djokovic managed to fight back to hold serve.

It was the Serb who made the crucial breakthrough in the opening set, winning against serve with his one and only break point of the set in the sixth game to take control of proceedings.

He went on to serve the set out, clinching the 6-3 victory with the second of three set points against his Spanish rival.

Djokovic began the second set in style too, breaking in the very first game to take control of the match before holding serve in the next game to move into a 2-0 lead.

Nadal resisted one more break point over the rest of the set before the ninth game, which saw Djokovic clinch the match against serve at the first time of asking with another 6-3 success.
