Novak Djokovic breezes past John Isner to reach sixth China Open semi-final

Defending China Open champion Novak Djokovic eases into the semi-finals following a 6-2 6-2 victory over John Isner.

Novak Djokovic is on course to defend his China Open title after beating John Isner in just 52 minutes to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

The Serbian, who has won the Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open this season, managed to grab a 6-2 6-2 victory over Isner.

Djokovic stormed out of the blocks by breaking his American opponent's serve at the first time of asking in the opening set.

Isner failed to recover as Djokovic broke again to take a 5-2 lead before successfully serving for a one-set lead in Beijing.

It was more of the same in the second set as the 10-time Grand Slam champion broke twice to ease to victory and book his spot in the final four.
