Novak Djokovic breezes into Rome Masters quarter-finals

Novak Djokovic moves into the quarter-finals of the Rome Masters with a straight-sets win over Alexandr Dolgopolov.

Serbia's Novak Djokovic has comfortably seen off the challenge of Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov in the third round of the Rome Masters.

After winning his opening serve, Djokovic attacked his opponent straight away but Dolgopolov saved an early break point to hold.

However, that would be the only game the Ukrainian took in the opening set as Djokovic glided through the gears to take it 6-1 inside 30 minutes.

Dolgopolov was broken immediately in the second, but fought back to play his best tennis. He came close to breaking back in the sixth, but the Serb held on to go 4-2 up.

From there it went with serve and Djokovic booked his place in the quarter-finals with a 6-1 6-4 win, finishing with a one-two.
