Grigor Dimitrov has progressed through to the semi-finals of the Mexican Open after he recorded a three-set victory over Ernests Gulbis.
Gulbis looked in control after taking the opening set, but Dimitrov dug deep to come through in two hours 39 minutes with a 4-6 7-6 7-5 win.
Both players struggled to hold serve during the first 10 games, but it was the Latvian who seized his chance as he looked to try to win his second successive tournament after his success in Marseille last week.
However, a less eventful second set went to a tie-break, which Dimitrov took as Gulbis's efforts over the past two weeks appeared to be taking their toll.
Gulbis fought back from a 4-2 deficit in the decider, but he couldn't hold on to his serve to take the set into a final-set tie-break to allow Dimitrov to move through to a last-four showdown with Andy Murray.
