Broady, Milton both progress in Bangkok Challenger

British pair Liam Broady and Joshua Milton have both secured notable victories in the first round of the Bangkok Challenger.

Broady, who reached the second round at Wimbledon last year, benefited from the withdrawal of eighth seed Maxime Teixeira with the score at 6-2 1-0.

Milton, who came through qualifying at the second-tier event, impressed in a 6-3 6-2 victory over fifth seed Kamil Majchrzak, a player who is ranked 80 places higher than him in the world rankings.

In the last 16, Broady will face Dzmitry Zhyrmont, while Milton will play either Maximilian Neuchrist or Alexey Vatutin.
