Elena Baltacha beaten at Eastbourne

Elena Baltacha has been beaten by world number 10 Maria Kirilenko in the second round of the Aegon Classic at Eastbourne.

The British number six took the opening set 6-4 before her Russian opponent fought back to claim the second 6-4.

French Open quarter-finalist Kirilenko then sealed the win with a 6-3 triumph in the third.

Baltacha, who recently won her first trophy in two years with victory at the Aegon Nottingham Challenge, has been given a wildcard for this year's Wimbledon.
