Ward edged out by Dodig at Queen's

Britain's James Ward has been edged out in three sets by world number 54 Ivan Dodig in round one of the Queen's Club Championships.

Ward clinched the opening set 10-8 in a tie-break but squandered match points in the second, as his Croatian opponent levelled the match in another tie-break 7-3.

The 26-year-old then had the chance to serve out the match at 5-4 before Dodig rallied to seal the win 7-2 in a third tie-break.

Dodig will face fellow countryman and defending champion Marin Cilic in the next round.
