Hewitt dumped out by Lopez at Queen's

Spain's Feliciano Lopez has defeated four-time winner Lleyton Hewitt in the second round at Queen's.

Hewitt, who won the tournament four times between 2000 and 2006, would have been hopeful of making the latter stages of the competition, but the Australian couldn't cope with the big-serving 10th seed.

The former Wimbledon champion won just five points on his opponent's serve during the first set, which Lopez took 6-3, and it was a similar story during the second.

The left-hander secured the solitary break of serve in the seventh game of the set, and Hewitt had little answer as he fell to a 6-3 6-4 defeat.

Lopez will now play the winner of the match between Ernests Gulbis and Kenny de Schepper in the last 16.
