David Nalbandian hopes to be allowed to compete at next year's AEGON Championships following his disqualification for unsportsmanlike conduct.

David Nalbandian has expressed his desire to compete at Queen's next year despite being disqualified from this year's tournament.

The 30-year-old Argentinian was forced to forfeit yesterday's final against Marin Cilic after he reacted angrily to hitting a wayward forehand by kicking an advertising box, which broke and cut the leg of line judge Andrew McDougall.

Despite the incident, Nalbandian has every intention of entering the 2013 AEGON Championships.

"This incident doesn't mean that I'm not going to come back," Nalbandian said. "It doesn't matter. I really feel good at this tournament.

"The tournament director is great to me and I like it. This is a bad situation for everybody and I really apologise for that but it doesn't mean anything to next year."
