Australian Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka withdraws from next week's ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam due to a leg injury.

Australian Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka has pulled out of next week's ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam due to a leg injury.

The 28-year-old was part of the Swiss team that defeated Serbia last weekend to reach the Davis Cup quarter-finals.

"Unfortunately I'm not in the form to compete in Rotterdam," Wawrinka is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I hope to be back on court very quickly."

Wawrinka claimed his first Grand Slam title last month by beating Rafael Nadal in the final in Melbourne.
