Roddick beats Murray in exhibition

Andy Roddick came out of retirement to beat world number three Andy Murray at the Miami Tennis Cup exhibition event last night.

The American, who retired after the US Open earlier this year, comfortably saw off Scot Murray 6-2 6-3 to set up a final showdown with Spain's Nicolas Almagro.

Speaking afterwards, Roddick, 30, said: "If we had gone three sets I would've had a full body cramp and it would've been awkward for all of you. Andy was nice to me tonight.

"There's no comeback. I don't miss the travel at all.

"It's nice coming here and seeing familiar faces. I still enjoy hitting tennis balls, but I haven't lost that part of it. I haven't lost any of the innocent parts of tennis. I just do it in front of less people."

Almagro reached the final by defeating John Isner 6-3 6-4.
