Rafael Nadal admits that Novak Djokovic deserved to beat him in the final of the Miami Masters tonight.

Rafael Nadal has admitted that Novak Djokovic deserved to beat him in the final of the Miami Masters tonight.

The Serbian cruised to a 6-3 6-3 win over the 27-year-old to secure his fourth Sony Open title, and Nadal believes that the best man won.

He told reporters: "I played a few games and a few points with right way, with right intensity. But for the rest, easy to analyse. The opponent was better than me. That's it."

Consequently, Djokovic moves ahead of legend Pete Sampras and two behind Andre Agassi in the event's all-time winners list.
