Rafael Nadal says that his comeback from a knee injury could not have gone better after reaching the final of the Madrid Masters.

Rafael Nadal has said that it is "almost a dream" to reach the final of the Madrid Masters just three months after returning from a knee injury.

The former world number one had a seven-month lay-off after sustaining the injury last summer, resulting in him missing the Olympics and two Grand Slam tournaments.

Speaking after his semi-final win this afternoon, the Spaniard said: "The results could not have been better.

"Five months ago I could not have dreamed of everything that has happened during these past few months. It's almost a dream to be back in another final at home here in Madrid."

Nadal will face wither Tomas Berdych or Stanislas Wawrinka in tomorrow's final.
