Canadian Raonic has enjoyed successful year to date, picking up titles in Chennai and San Jose, and he has targeted a solid end to the year.

"The Brisbane tournament has been an appealing choice to make this time round because I really enjoy being in Australia, it makes the travel a lot easier. I look forward to new experiences, good food and building some good memories there," he told reporters.

Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis is also among the names set to compete.
